My garden in my inspiration.
As a young child in the New England area, Yosiell was surrounded by the stories of Salem witches, old colonial haunted houses, and authentic Victorian architecture. His work draws inspiration from these early influences, reflecting the darker elements of the human condition and the mysteries of the supernatural world.
Imagine rummaging through the attic of an old Victorian mansion and coming across a worn and aged steamer trunk. The art of Yosiell Lorenzo gives one the feeling of discovering images in that trunk hearkening to a long gone era. All artworks in the Orphans of Dudleytown line are inspired by the Victorian era, and most are also influenced by the spiritualist movement of the times. The Orphans of Dudleytown explores ghostly kids of the Victorian era celebrating all things fall and spooky. The subtle warm color palette further reflects the pronounced autumnal theme. Yosiell invites you to explore the mysterious illustrations of the Orphans of Dudleytown.
Yosiell Lorenzo currently lives in Oakland, CA where he works out of his private studio in historic Point Richmond, CA

Clothing, accessories jewelry and witch shop!
Artist owned and operated, Kitschy Witch Designs is a small business from New York, specializing in art textiles and designs with a nod to the past. Our offerings are inspired by all things whimsical, literature, music and of course…vintage novelty prints!
Kitschy Witch started up in 2014 as an online accessory and jewelry shop, offering one of a kind, handmade jewelry pieces created from vintage components, along with scarves and small accessories showcasing my fabric designs and artwork. My love of collecting+wearing vintage clothing+accessories, along with a passion for designing my own fabrics, pushed me to expand the line. We took the leap and introduced clothing to the line in 2017.
