No tricks! Just treats at the NEW SpookyInc.com

Founded on Halloween night 1996, GothicChicago.com provided listings of restaurants and shops and events that were friendly to the Gothic/Alternative community for over 20 years.

In the world of Facebook, Instagram and Hot Topic, a more personal project emerged from the SpookyBs (JameyB and DavidB) in the early 2000’s – SpookyInc.com (spooky stuff for spooky people.) SpookyInc.com offers a wider, yet more select, resource. The links are narrowed down to a more focused list (only the spooktacular will be selected) but the reviews, videos and photos of featured artists, bands, talent, events continue strong as ever! In the next year, SpookyInc plans to resurrect the much-loved, and sorely missed 13 month October to October calendar! Stay tuned!

You can follow us here on SpookyInc.com or on the many social media outlets (see list on the right).

In the Lab!

This time In the Lab we play music on a banana with makeymakey

cre·a·tiv·i·ty
noun
noun: creativity
the use of the imagination or original ideas, especially in the production of an artistic work.
synonyms: inventiveness, imagination, innovation, innovativeness, originality, individuality;
artistry, inspiration, vision;
enterprise, initiative, resourcefulness

Creativity is the act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. Creativity is characterised by the ability to perceive the world in new ways, to find hidden patterns, to make connections between seemingly unrelated phenomena, and to generate solutions. Creativity involves two processes: thinking, then producing.  Creativity allows us to play music on a banana!

VICENNIAL – INTO THE NIGHT A Book by DavidB and JameyB 46 PAGES | 20 YEARS GothicChicago Calendars – Events – Photos

Support SpookyInc - Buy our bookBorn out of frustration with being seated in the back of a restaurant because we looked too “Goth” (aka “weird”) – we decided to share Goth-friendly locations and events in Chicago and eventually worldwide online.  The scene has grown – Goth is in the malls, Cosplay is all the rage and the world is a little smaller (and more wonderful) due to social media.  To celebrate 20 years of spooky stuff for spooky people, this 46 page, full colour book shares highlights from 1996-2016.
