Hello! I’m Kirsty the artist behind Painted Witch Designs.

I am a full time PhD student in archaeology at the University of York, outside of my studies I work part time as an illustrator. I create highly detailed illustrations using traditional dip pen and ink. My work is heavily inspired by nature, victoriana, dark and spooky things and all things relating to witches and witchcraft.
