The Sanctuary Candle Company was first developed by Army veteran, Noah Ankney in early 2017. What originally started as a therapeutic outlet to help cope with PTSD, quickly turned into a passion and business. Noah is the mad scientist behind The Sanctuary Candle Company. When he isn’t whipping up the goods he is racking his brain trying to perfect the next macabre candle.

Noah would not be where he is in life without his beautiful wife, Thelma. She is really the heart and soul of The Sanctuary Candle Company. While Noah is making candles, she is running the business side of things. From managing stock, to designing labels, to packing and shipping. She is also the driving force behind our more sinister creations. Definitely a match made in Hell!

They wanted to combine their love of all things horror, Gothic, fantasy, macabre and supernatural to bring uniquely themed candles and wax melts. All their candles are hand poured in small batches and made to order. They pride themselves in using non-toxic ingredients such as natural soy wax, high quality fragrance oils that are phthalate-free (unless indicated) and are all cruelty free. The final product is an amazing combination of (somewhat) traditional, unique, and sometimes, one of a kind candles!
