OCT 8 – Virtual Tour: Haunted History in Chicago (Virtual Ghost Tour!)
October is here! From Resurrection Mary to our haunted hotels, Chicago’s history has lent it some of the world’s greatest and most famous ghost stories! Come along on a virtual tour exploring the history behind the legends – and decide for yourself if the ghosts are real! Combining live narration, video footage, and pictures from the archives, it’s a fun, spooky interactive experience from the comfort and safety of your home! Free, with suggested donations.
If you were on our last virtual ghost tours, come on back – we’ll include some new stops this time around!
Tour guide Adam Selzer of Mysterious Chicago spent years running 300 ghost tours per year, and accumulated a huge amount of historical data behind the stories – something the facts lined up with the legends, and sometimes they took the legend in a whole new direction! He is the author of over 20 books, including THE GHOSTS OF CHICAGO (Llewelyn 2013), HH HOLMES: THE TRUE HISTORY OF THE WHITE CITY DEVIL ( Skyhorse 2017), and THE SMART ALECK’S GUIDE TO AMERICAN HISTORY (Random House 2009)… not to mention JUST KILL ME (Simon and Schuster 2016), a novel about a ghost tour guide who makes places more haunted by killing people at them. It was only PARTLY autobiographical. Next year he’ll be releasing a new bok on Graceland Cemetery plus a soon-to-be-announced suprrise new book!
