Chicago has many world renowned museums, so why not take advantage of them for free? Whether you’re into art, history, science, or animals, there’s a perfect museum for you! We’ve put together a list of free museum days in 2019 so you can enjoy what Chicago has to offer without breaking the bank!

Adler Planetarium:
January 21-22, 29-31

Field Museum:
January 21

The Art Institute of Chicago:
Thursdays from 5:00-8:00pm, Illinois residents get free admission.

Shedd Aquarium:
January 17-21
February weekdays

Brookfield Zoo:
In January and February, get in for free on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Chicago Children’s Museum at Navy Pier:
Thursdays from 5:00-8:00pm
Sundays
Kids under 15 are always free

Chicago Cultural Center:
Everyday is free!
On the spot tours are free, as well.

Chicago History Museum:
Every Tuesday from 12:30pm-9:00pm excluding January 2, January 9, December 18 and December 25
