Michelle Prebich is a freelance artist who is a film and literature geek. She loves the dark/romantic era and existential themes. 

Michelle studied Film Production, Theatre and Fine Art At Cal-State Long Beach with a B.A. in Narrative Film Production and a minor in Theatre. Her thesis film “A Serious Talk” was shown at the Newport Beach Film Festival in 2012. 

Collaborating with CRB’s Ghostwalk from 2005-2010, she took part in a variety of original pieces of theatre that included acting, composing music for the piano, writing, design, and stage management.

In 2011, Michelle collaborated with BRAVA in Riverside, California to direct and co-write an original theatre production, “Ghosts of Yesterday”.

Michelle has worked as a production designer, artist, set dresser, property master, and special effects make up artist on short films, television segments and web series for the film industry. 

Michelle’s collaboration with the band Mr. Moonshine includes art for their album and two stop motion animation music videos “Wolves on Parade” and “Comfort Me with Absinthe.” The later won best animated short in the Albuquerque Film And Music Experience in 2016.

​Michelle’s art has been published in various print including the Chaffey Review, Popcorn Horror, and Horror Relapse. She is currently illustrating horror anthologies for “Dark Moon Books” publishing. The first volume exploring the works of Steve Rasnic Tem was release in 2017.

​Her art can also be seen in the Haunted Mansion Documentary “Foolish Mortals” released in 2017.

​Her ‘day job’ is a purveyor of original macabre art, art pieces, and apparel she has created for her shop “Bat in Your Belfry” based in Los Angeles.

Michelle loves geeking out with fellow enthusiasts of the unusual and the macabre and can typically be found at Halloween/horror conventions usually standing next to a man in a cowboy hat.
