Mar 15 – Lovecraft Death Day Soiree (Chicago)

Join us for the 3rd annual Lovecraft Death Day Soiree – an evening celebrating the master of Eldritch terror – Howard Philips Lovecraft. On Friday, March 15 we raise our glasses to honor the 82nd anniversary of his passing into the realm of the elder gods. Together, we shall descend into a realm of madness and unspeakable terror.

Dress to impress! We are encouraging period clothing to accentuate our prohibition era soiree. Your evening will begin with elixirs and nourishment at our neighboring speakeasy, B’el Bar + Kitchen. Following that, Bucket O’Blood Books & Records will host a unique literary salon, transporting our guests into the early 1930’s for an exceptional evening of ghastly tales and wondrous words in honor of the esteemed H.P. Lovecraft. Additional libations will be available.

Space is limited so grab your ticket today! Upon arriving at B’EL you will be greeted with a unique, themed specialty cocktail served in a special glass that is yours to keep! Your drink will be accompanied by a delicious nosh, prepared just for the occasion. We will adjourn to Bucket O’Blood’s back parlour for postprandial mingling and additional cocktails and dessert. The Master of Ceremonies will lead us in a toast and a lineup of guests will grace our ears with spirited readings from Lovecraft’s work. All guests will be gifted with a printed literary journal dedicated to HPL.

Tickets can be purchased at Bucket O’Blood (no fees) or online thru Eventbrite.

Ticket cost includes one cocktail and nosh at B’EL, a special commemorative glass, refreshments and entertainment at Bucket O’Blood and a printed journal.

For teetotalers or guests under the age of 21, please contact us to arrange for non-alcoholic substitutions.
